Savory Oatmeal Recipe

Savory oatmeal is a non-sweetened alternative made with broth, garlic, herbs and topped with eggs.

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup bone broth of your choice - chicken, beef, pork, etc.
  • 1-2 eggs, cooked sunny side up
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • Worcestershire sauce, to taste
  • Parsley or other herbs, chopped
  • Sriracha, to taste, optional


  1. Soak oatmeal overnight in some warm water.
  2. In the morning, drain the water and add bone broth to sauce pan.
  3. Bring oatmeal to a simmer and add chopped garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Taste and add more Worcestershire sauce if needed.
  4. Saute eggs separately in some butter.
  5. Remove oatmeal from heat and top with eggs, parsley and sriracha.
  6. Enjoy!
