Today I had a chance to go on a local morning show here in western MA called Mass Appeal and talk about how to lose weight without dieting. In the process I also had a chance to actually promote REAL food!
Now that’s certainly a rarity these days. Trust me, you NEVER hear this information on major talk shows. They usually bring on dietitians who spew out the same old nonsense about counting calories, watching your saturated fat intake and eating lots of fruits and vegetables.
I had two short segments to talk about foods to avoid for weight loss and foods that help with weight loss.
In particular, I LOVED that I was able to discuss poor quality vegetable oils with a tub of Wesson and a jar of trans-fat-filled Skippy peanut butter sitting there as bad examples. And I LOVED that I was able to promote healthy fats with Kerrygold butter as a good example and Land O Lakes as a bad example.
I just wish I’d had more time. These segments always feel so rushed and there’s about a thousand more things I wanted to discuss.
But I think I did alright.
I should also add that it’s not everyday that your appearance on TV is followed up by the President of the United States!
Seriously, I’m not kidding. You’ll see what I mean in the second video segment below.
